Welcome to the POCD Conservation Education Hub – your one-stop resource for workshops, programs, and tools that help landowners, educators, and community members learn how to steward our natural resources. Whether you’re a teacher looking for hands-on field experiences, a producer seeking technical guidance, or a student curious about local ecology, the Hub connects you to the knowledge and skills you need.

What You’ll Find Here

For Educators 

Outdoor Learning Programs – Field-based education for K-12 students, including topics like soil science, forestry, ecology, and regenerative agriculture.

Curriculum Support – Access lesson plans, activity guides, and training opportunities to bring conservation to your classroom.

Professional Development – STEM Clock Hour Workshops designed to give educators hands-on conservation skills.

For Landowners & Producers 

Workshops & Demonstrations – Learn about agrilculture, forest health, wildfire resilience, agroforestry, and riparian restoration.

Equipment Access – Use POCD’s demonstration tools like our 8’ No-Till Seeder to try conservation practices on your property.

Technical Assistance – Connect with experts to create conservation plans or apply for cost-share programs.

For Students & Families 

Youth Programs – Participate in activities like the Pend Oreille Forestry Competition, Earth Day Plant Sale & Artwalk, and Riparian Youth Education Days.
