8’ No-Till Seeder Demonstration Program
Pend Oreille Conservation District is excited to offer our 8-foot No-Till Seeder as part of our Demonstration Equipment Program.
This program gives local landowners and producers the opportunity to try no-till planting at no cost while exploring conservation practices that build soil health and improve land productivity.
What is a No-Till Seeder?
A no-till seeder plants seeds directly into existing vegetation or crop residue, reducing soil disturbance and erosion while helping maintain soil structure and moisture. This approach is ideal for:
- Establishing cover crops
- Renovating pastures
- Planting native species or forage mixes
- Reducing soil compaction and improving soil health
How the Demonstration Program Works
Our No-Till Seeder is available for free use by landowners, but participation requires:
- Pre-Use Consultation – Meet with POCD staff to plan your seeding project and learn how to operate the drill effectively.
- Demonstration Record – Document your use of the drill for reporting and educational purposes.
- Media Participation – Agree to brief documentation (photos, quotes, or testimonials) so POCD can share the results and inspire other landowners.
This program is designed to promote conservation practices and provide real-world demonstrations for our community.
