Cost-Share Assistance for Landowners (FY 2025–2026)

Pend Oreille Conservation District's Forest Health Cost-Share Program aims to help private landowners improve forest health, reduce wildfire risk, and promote long-term resiliency on their property. This program provides technical assistance and financial support for forest management practices such as thinning, pruning, slash treatment, and fuels reduction.

How the Cost-Share Works

Qualified landowners may receive up to 75% of the total project cost reimbursed, while the landowner contributes the remaining 25%. Reimbursement typically occurs 4–6 weeks after project completion and verification by a POCD representative.

Steps to Participate

Steps to Get Started:
  1. Contact POCD – Call or email to express interest.
  2. Site Visit & Assessment – Our forester or technician visits your property to identify needs.
