Pend Oreille Conservation District is launching a new Agroforestry Technical Assistance Program to support landowners and producers who want to integrate trees, shrubs, and perennial systems into working lands.

This program is designed to improve:

  • Farm and forest resilience
  • Soil health and water quality
  • Wildlife habitat and pollinator resources
  • Long-term agricultural productivity
  • Climate and drought adaptation

Through this effort, POCD will eventually provide planning, site visits, education, and project development support for agroforestry practices across Pend Oreille County.
